Displacement Sensor In Ensuring Vehicle Safety

Safety is a problem encountered in the construction of various industries. Construction safety covers all safety issues in the operation process, financial and logistics support and other related content. The government has focused a great concern on production safety, people's lives and property safety, and has formulated relevant laws and regulations to set clear requirements to personnel and units engaged in the construction industry.

Take the high-altitude vehicle for an example. Due to the lifting and telescopic functions, the longitudinal tilting moment generated by the load is constantly changing. Especially when the telescopic boom is lowered or extended, the tipping moment increases continuously. If the operator's judgment is not accurate.  It is easy to tipping, causing casualties and property losses.

The working load chart is calculated based on the moment generated by the heavy object and the moment of the car body. It is the basis for the longitudinal stability indicator and the anti-rollover protection system. When the position of the combined center of gravity of the car moves forward to the front axle or front feet, the car will roll over. As the center of gravity moves forward, the weight on the rear axle will gradually decrease, and the corresponding deformation of the rear axle will also decrease. The system senses the load through the load sensor, monitors the arm’s expansion and contraction status in real time through the displacement sensor, and compares it with the load spectrum to obtain the corresponding stability percentage of the load under a certain operating range. The display uses the number of indicator lights, color changes and alarms. The form of buzzing reminds the operator that the vehicle is in a stable state, and when the preset limit value is reached, the program automatically shuts down to prevent the vehicle from continuing to deteriorate, that is, the telescopic arm extends or descends.

In addition to the requirements for monitoring and limiting the telescopic displacement of the boom, the high-altitude vehicle also has requirements for the lifting and lowering speed of the platform. The lifting speed of the telescopic boom platform is directly related to the operating comfort of the staff. Magnetostrictive sensors can output displacement signals and speed signals at the same time, and are suitable for vehicle applications that require both displacement and speed control.
